Not all of us are blessed to live in a big and commodious place. Some of us have to spend their time in little rooms that at some point become too small. If you are not of the blessed ones, you may want to follow this advices and make your place more comfortable. Learn a little bit more:
- Invest in built-ins - I know that they are not cheap at all. But a built-in oven will surely save you some space. Mount cabinets below windows. Such a cabinet can be used as a window seat. Isn’t it a good idea? By placing additional furniture you’ll spend extra money and lose space. Window-seats can be incorporated great.
- Remove the chaos - Some of us tend to transform their home into a depot. And if our home is tiny, with a mess around, it can get uncomfortably small. So the lesson is: Remove all the unnecessary stuff!
- Get multifunctional furniture - The window-seats are not the only example of multifunctional furniture. There are great ideas like combining a bureau with а wardrobe. That’s a perfect solution for bedroom. With such a furniture you can take over the entire wall. This will surely free some space. Also you will make the entire room multifunctional. You can use it as a bedroom, and also as a workspace.
- Get rid of doors - You don’t need all the interior doors. The only ones you need are the front door and that of the bedroom. If you don’t have children you can get rid of the last one either. Renovating the doorways will make them taller and wider. Without doors your home will look bigger. You’ll notice the difference only when the after builders cleaning is finished. A final touch would be some mirrors placed next to the doorways.
I bet that if you follow these instructions no one could notice how small the place is. These little engineering touches to your interior design will help you out.
